This is a really excellent 2nd edition accessory that I was missing from my old collection of books. The material in this book could be used with any classic fantasy RPG, as it has nothing to do with exact rules and numbers. Its something a DM can use as a resource to build Worlds, Campaigns, Adventures, Maps and exciting NPC's. I'll be using this for Castles & Crusades a really excellent and simplified version of D&D.

LIKED: This book will give you a solid structure for building a custom tailored RPG campaign setting. I also liked the use of 3D perspective maps for dungeons and castles... Very attractive, and much more visual for the players to look at... They take a little work, and a little drawing skill, but will be very good for certain climatic locations, or locations used over and over on a regular basis.

DISLIKED: The scans as usual could be better... someone should be taking these through Photoshop and increasing the contrast... or better yet bumping up the contrast in the scanning software to begin with... I realize I'm only paying $4.95 for the material, but I do have to pump out my own ink after too, and we all know how expensive the ink is!!!! Its good enough to read... but I think these could be improved.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
Excellent suplement for the DM! A book that adds depth in almost every part of the game! Creating worlds, adventures, handling the theatrical part of the game, giving colour to PC NPC foes. Also is very usefull because it has detail about map making and especialy for dungeon creation and design! I'm very pleased that i bought thiw one!

LIKED: Complete, enlightning, well organized! Excellent!

DISLIKED: ??? NOTHING!

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
A fairly good guide to creating campaigns, adventures, and running games. The scan is the same -- fairly good, just a bit blurry, but that may be due to the gloss on the scanned pages. In many ways it's the 2nd edition update of the Dungeoneer's Survival Guide, but it focuses much more on the roleplaying and campaign world generation aspects of the game.
