Left Black and Blue: A Red War Story
Publisher: Dungeon Masters Guild

The potential for an excellent adventure is here, but it feels like the adventure submitted for publishing is an early draft with incomplete information. There are stat blocks missing, enemies not identified with any stat block, narrative information missing, no maps or room diagrams and little information to help you picture they layout.

The answer to the puzzle is given in a supplement but there is no information given on how the characters are supposed to know how to solve the puzzle.

Incomplete is my one word summary for this adventure. In order to run it well the DM is need to prepare information in advance to compensate for the missing pieces.

A fun and entertaining set of adventures. I ran them with a newer group of players and they enjoyed the various mechanics and styles of play.

A fun adventure. The sandstorm was irritating due to the fact that nobody saved a wagon or the statue, and how the hobgoblins collect the toll is unclear. Nerfing encounters for a weak party made them very easy and I did not after I saw what the nerfs were.

It has a really nice flow to it and presents some fun roleplaying opportunities. If you have a larger party the games section can get slow as you juggle all the individual games people want to play. I found it's good to give each character a couple games and then let them know they can play more at the end if time allows.

Much fun to roleplay the NPCs presented. It was a great moment when our druid dealt the blow to Slab that brought him to tears. She went from shooting him to hugging him almost instantly!
